Ashraf Mozayani has extensive experience in the field of forensic science. Ashraf worked as the Executive Director of the Forensic Sciences at Texas Southern University from 2012, where they were responsible for curriculum management, equipment purchase, employee management, teaching, developing partnerships, guiding research programs, and publishing results. Prior to that, they were the Director of International Forensic Science Consultants, LLC since 1999. In this role, they managed an international consulting firm, provided expert witness testimony, designed and set up laboratories, and guided laboratories through the accreditation process. Ashraf has also served as the Crime Laboratory Director and Chief Toxicologist at the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences from 1996 to 2012, overseeing divisions and managing all aspects of the Toxicology Department. Additionally, they were the Chief Toxicologist at the Office of The Chief Medical Examiner, District of Columbia in 1996. Overall, Ashraf Mozayani has a wealth of experience in forensic science and has worked with various organizations to advance the field.
Ashraf Mozayani completed a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree in Pharmacy from the University of Tehran from 1970 to 1976. Later, they earned a Ph.D. in Toxicology from the University of Alberta from 1985 to 1990.
