Additionally, Darnell holds dual roles at Texas Southern University as Engagement Manager and Senior Academic Technology Officer since February 2010, focusing on the deployment of advanced academic technologies to enhance educational excellence and prepare for technology upgrades. As the founding partner and President of Weblunch.net from January 2004 to January 2010, Darnell developed a national real-time online payment system catering to over 35 school districts, processing significant monthly transactions. Darnell is also pursuing legal education at Michigan State University College of Law since August 1984.
