Dan Costello has over 35 years of work experience in facilities management and engineering. Dan currently serves as the Associate Vice President for Facilities at Texas State University. Prior to their current role, they held positions at various universities and organizations, including the University of the Incarnate Word, UT Health San Antonio, Washington State University, The University of Texas at Austin, Western Connecticut State University, and the USAF. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated expertise in directing and overseeing operational and budgetary activities for facilities management, leading large teams, developing and implementing strategic plans, managing capital improvement projects, and promoting energy conservation initiatives.
Dan Costello completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin between 1982 and 1987. Dan further pursued their education and obtained a Master of Science (MS) in Civil Engineering from The University of Colorado at Boulder from 1991 to 1993. Later, they completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Grand Canyon University between 2020 and 2022.
