Chalese Connors has a diverse work experience, primarily at Texas Woman's University. Chalese started working at the university in 1995 as an Assistant Director of Athletics/Sports Information, where they were responsible for publicity and promotion of various women's sports. In 2001, they became the Director of Athletics, where they successfully built an athletics program that achieved significant growth and success. Chalese later transitioned to the role of Director of Student Financial Literacy and then to their current position as the Director of the Student Money Management Center, where they lead a team in implementing financial education programs and services. Prior to their tenure at Texas Woman's University, Chalese also worked as an Assistant Director of Communications at The Southland Conference and as a Press Officer at the 1994 FIFA World Cup USA.
Chalese Connors obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Radio/Television from Southern Methodist University, where they studied from 1983 to 1987. Chalese also completed graduate work in Radio/Television at the same university. In terms of additional certifications, Chalese obtained the Certified Financial Peer Mentor certification from the Institute for Financial Literacy in March 2022, and they also completed the Money Management Essentials certification from AFCPE® (Association for Financial Counseling and Planning Education®) in 2021.
