Erika Gaffney

Erika Gaffney is a Software Engineering Manager currently working at Text-Em-All and previously held the same title at Capital One for nearly a decade. At Capital One, Erika managed a team of five software engineers, fostering a supportive environment for growth and feedback while leading technical strategy and driving cyber initiatives. Prior roles at Capital One included Senior Software Engineer, where responsibilities included programming Angular front-end code and leading sprint ceremonies, as well as a Software Engineer and Associate Software Engineer, focusing on application development and data management. Erika began mentoring and advising roles during early career experiences at the McCombs School of Business and The University of Texas at Austin, supplemented by earlier positions in retail management. Erika holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Texas McCombs School of Business.
