Austin Wong

Austin Wong has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several industries and roles. Austin started their career as a Data Analyst at PCL Construction, where they developed VBA Excel macros for tracking and reporting solar farm performance. Austin also worked as a Data Analyst at Northbridge Financial Corporation, gaining experience in data analysis.

Austin then transitioned into Product Management, starting as a Product Manager (Co-op) at Siemens, where they spearheaded end-of-life plans for network switches and presented core portfolio strategies to upper management. Austin continued their Product Management career at theScore, Inc., leading the redesign of the flagship mobile app and conducting usability tests and A/B experiments.

At Grow Technologies (Acquired), Austin served as a Senior Product Manager, managing the digital acquisition platform for ATB Financial and mentoring other product managers. Austin also held roles focusing on Appointments and Acquisition & Onboarding.

Austin's Product Management experience also includes a role at Formative, where they created a product roadmap based on user interviews and sales data, and led the development of a standards performance analysis feature.

Most recently, Austin joined TextNow as a Senior Product Manager, contributing to the Growth Team. Austin has experience in both the Engagement & Retention and Acquisition & Activation aspects of the team, leading initiatives such as free SIM experiments, redesigning the fresh install launch screen, and conducting AB tests on the marketing landing page.

Austin Wong has a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo. In addition, they participated in an exchange semester at the City University of Hong Kong, although the field of study for this program is not specified.

Austin Wong has obtained several certifications. Austin is a Professional Engineer (Software) certified by the Professional Engineers Ontario, which they obtained in May 2022. Austin also holds a Professional Scrum Product Owner (Level I) certification from Scrum.org, obtained in July 2020.
