Carolina Herrero

Carolina Herrero has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of clinical operations and research. Carolina is currently an Associate Director of Clinical Operations at TFS HealthScience - Contract Research Organization since April 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Clinical Research Manager at the same organization from August 2022 to April 2023.

Before joining TFS HealthScience, Carolina served as the Clinical Operations Director at Medica Scientia Innovation Research (MedSIR) from January 2020 to June 2022.

Carolina held the position of Clinical Operations Manager at Barcelona Beta Research Center at Pasqual Maragall Foundation, where they were responsible for implementing and managing the clinical trial unit, project management, team management, and study budget management from November 2016 to January 2020.

Carolina worked as a Senior Clinical Project Manager at Pasqual Maragall Foundation, Barcelona Beta Brain Research Center for a brief period in 2016. Their responsibilities included leading and coordinating Alzheimer's disease clinical research projects, adhering to protocol procedures, good clinical practices, and managing study budgets.

Carolina has also held roles as a Clinical Trial Manager at ICON plc in 2016, GlaxoSmithKline from 2015 to 2016, and Novartis from 2013 to 2015. In these roles, they successfully led and coordinated various clinical research projects, including those related to pediatric immunology, and was responsible for team coordination.

Earlier in their career, Carolina worked as a Pharmacy Logistic Manager at VHIR Vall d’Hebron Institut de Recerca from 2011 to 2013, a Senior CRA at Covance in 2011, and a Clinical Trial Manager at SOLTI - Breast Cancer Research Group from 2008 to 2011.

Carolina Herrero completed a postgraduate program in Strategic Brand Planning and Brand Meaning at UPF Barcelona School of Management from 2019 to 2020.

In 2004, they obtained a Master's degree in Clinical Trial Monitoring from Universitat de Barcelona.

Their earlier education includes a Nursing Degree from UAB, EUI CREU ROJA BARCELONA, which they pursued from 1992 to 1995.

In addition to their formal education, Carolina obtained a certification as a Directive from ODEE (Observatori de la Dona) Cambra de Comerç de Barcelona in April 2019.
