Altay Sansal

Altay Sansal has a diverse work experience in the field of geophysical data analysis and software development. Altay is currently working as a Lead Data Scientist at TGS, where they developed an open-source multidimensional array storage library for ML pipelines and seismic data management. Prior to this, Altay worked at Quantico Energy Solutions as a Data Scientist, Geophysical Advisor, and SWE, where they developed a neural network-based seismic amplitude inversion tool. Altay also has experience as a Reservoir Geosciences Manager at SAExploration, where they managed signal processing and imaging projects. Altay also worked as a Manager of Integrated Reservoir Geosciences at Geokinetics Inc., where they provided technical oversight and trained team members on seismic data analysis. Altay has also worked on quantitative interpretation research and development at Geotrace Technologies Inc., and as a Summer Intern at Schlumberger and the University of Cologne. Overall, Altay has experience in various aspects of geophysics, ranging from software development and data analysis to project management and technical oversight.

Altay Sansal earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Geophysical Engineering from Ankara University in 2009. After that, they pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Geophysics from the University of Houston, graduating in 2014.
