Ben Lasscock

Ben Lasscock has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Ben is currently working at TGS as a Data Science Lead. Prior to that, they were a Technical Lead at Enthought, where they developed deep learning and AI solutions for the Oil and Gas industry. Ben also worked as a Senior Geophysicist at Geokinetics Inc., where they developed inversion and interpretation tools for reservoir services. Before that, they were a Research Geophysicist at Geotrace Technologies Inc. and ION Geophysical, where they developed algorithms and conducted research in seismic imaging and microseismic analysis. Additionally, Ben has experience as a Senior Software Developer at Geoscience Australia, where they developed software for seismic array analysis. Their earlier experience includes roles as an Associate Research Scientist/Portfolio Manager at Boronia Capital and a Research Fellow at the University of Adelaide.

Ben Lasscock completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics from the University of Adelaide in 2002. In 2003, they pursued further education and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the same field from the same university in 2006.
