Karen Dalton had a career in education, primarily working for the Thames Valley District School Board. Karen started in 1998 as the Principal of Sir Wilfrid Laurier Secondary School. In 2001, they became a Superintendent at the Thames Valley District School Board and served in that role until 2007. From 2007 to 2013, they were the Executive Superintendent of Operations, and in 2013, they transitioned to the role of Associate Director of Learning Support Services.
Karen Dalton earned a Bachelor of Education degree in 1978 and a Master of Education degree in 1994 from Western University, where they also completed an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Kinesiology in 1977. Prior to attending university, they attended Oakridge Secondary School from 1968 to 1973.
