Cecil Kim

Cecil Kim is an accomplished professional in the field of art and design, currently serving as a Professor in Entertainment Design at Art Center College of Design since October 2023. Kim has extensive experience in the gaming industry, holding roles such as Studio Art Director and Art Director at thatgamecompany since August 2019. Additionally, Kim contributes to the Gnomon School of Visual Effects as a member of the Program Advisory Committee since October 2012. Previous academic roles include Assistant Adjunct Professor and Concept Art Area Head at Otis College of Art and Design from January 2003 to November 2023, and earlier teaching positions at Art Center College of Design. Notable industry experience also includes serving as Visual Development Lead at Sony Computer Entertainment America LLC and Senior Concept Artist at Sony. Kim co-founded Section Studios, where the position of Chief Creative Officer was held alongside a similar role at BLUECANVAS, Inc.
