Eu-Ann Liu is a backend engineer at Thatgamecompany. Eu-Ann has also worked as an associate engineer at Treyarch, a software engineer specialist at GE Digital, and a metadata specialist intern at Sony.
Liu has experience with a variety of programming languages, including C++, GSC, Lua, and Python. At Treyarch, Liu was responsible for writing and integrating Python automated tests into CI/CD to verify various core features of the game. Eu-Ann also improved game development productivity by engineering C++ tools that compiled, booted, and monitored the game. Additionally, they created Python and C++ Windows GUI applications that managed game assets with PS4 and Xbox One file systems.
As a software engineer specialist at GE Digital, Liu assisted in the development of the game's frontend and main menu. Eu-Ann also created a system in the matchmaking lobby that cycles through each active player's character customization.
During their internship at Sony, Liu worked as a metadata specialist intern.
Eu-Ann Liu attended the University of Southern California, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (Games). Eu-Ann then attended San Marino High School, where they earned a 4.2 GPA.
