Michelle Remis has a diverse work experience spanning from 1995 to the present. Michelle started their career as a Crisis Specialist at Terros, where they conducted emergency psychiatric interventions and assessed individuals in crisis. Michelle then worked as a Customer Service Representative at Aetna Retirement Services, advising customers on retirement plan policies and procedures. Michelle also served as a Crisis Lead at Value Options, a Case Manager at Evercare/United Healthcare, and a Manager of Recruitment and Training at Cutter Aviation. In 2007, they became a stay-at-home mom for 12 years. Michelle later worked as a Counselor at Childhelp USA and Childhelp®. Currently, they are working as a Human Resources Director at The Accounting Doctor, leading efforts to assist small businesses in obtaining Employee Retention Tax Credits.
Michelle Remis holds a Master's degree in Human Resource Management from Ottawa University, which they obtained from 2002 to 2004. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Social Work at Arizona State University from 1991 to 1995. Additionally, they hold certifications such as SHRM-CP from SHRM, which they obtained in 2016, and another certification known as SHRM-CP (formally known as PHR).
