Benjamin Miller started their work experience in 2000 as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Minnesota. Benjamin then worked as an Epidemiologist at the Minnesota Department of Health from 2002 to 2005. Starting in 2007, they joined the Minnesota Department of Agriculture, where they held various roles including Operation and Response Section Manager, Food Inspection and Response Program Manager, and Division Director. In these positions, they were responsible for managing budgets, personnel, and overseeing food inspection and outbreak response activities. In 2018, Benjamin Miller joined The Acheson Group, where they have held roles such as Senior Director of Regulatory and Scientific Affairs, Vice President of Scientific and Regulatory Affairs, and currently serves as the Executive Vice President of Regulatory and Scientific Affairs.

Benjamin Miller earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Macalester College in 1999. Benjamin then pursued a Master of Public Health degree in Epidemiology from the University of Minnesota, completed in 2002. Benjamin's education journey concluded with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree, specializing in Environmental Health, also from the University of Minnesota in 2013.
