Director Sales Operations at Achievement Network (ANet)

Nina Alstrom has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Nina began their career in 2009 as a Shift Lead and Customer Service Specialist at Walgreens. From 2011 to 2012, they worked as a Staff Writer for The Signal Newspaper. Nina then transitioned into the field of education, working as a Teaching Assistant and Child Care Provider at Park Street Academy from 2012 to 2014.

In 2014, Nina moved into policy-related roles. Nina worked as a Research Assistant at Sustainable Jersey, where they gathered and analyzed data on sustainability efforts in the state. Nina also served as a Policy Analyst at Policy Options, where they contributed to policy-related news and published issue briefs.

Nina's policy experience continued with their work at the City of Newark. Nina held the positions of AmeriCorps VISTA and Policy Analyst, engaging community residents and partners in educational initiatives and coordinating grant proposals. Nina also served as a Policy and Program Associate in the Office of the Mayor, developing plans for community engagement and increasing opportunities for young people.

In 2017, Nina joined Achievement Network (ANet), a nonprofit focused on educational equity. Nina started as a Senior Associate in Business Development and later became a Sales Operations Manager. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Sales Operations, where they support schools in boosting student learning through data-informed teaching practices.

Nina's most recent work experience includes a role as a Social Media Coordinator and Sales Associate at The Bookworm Bernardsville, where they manage social media platforms and assists with sales.

In the future, Nina plans to work as a Data and Research Consultant at Creed Strategies, starting in 2023.

Nina Alstrom pursued their undergraduate studies from 2011 to 2015 at The College of New Jersey. During this time, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Government. Additionally, from 2014 to 2015, they participated in a program offered by The Foundation for International Education in London, focusing on Political Science and Government. Although no specific degree was mentioned for this program, it supplemented their education in their desired field of study.
