Verónica Cadavid-González

Verónica Cadavid-González is a dedicated human rights advocate with extensive experience in legal and research roles. Currently serving as a Legal Advocacy Advisor at The Advocates for Human Rights since May 2022, Verónica engages with domestic and international stakeholders, including the United Nations, to promote human rights advocacy. Previous roles include a Barbara Frey Human Rights Fellow at various programs within the same organization and a Researcher at the Human Rights Center at the University of Minnesota, focusing on rural community rights and international human rights law. Verónica has also interned with the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights and worked with several organizations on topics related to economic, social, and cultural rights, collective memory, and transitional justice. Educational credentials include a Master of Human Rights from the Humphrey School of Public Affairs and multiple law degrees from Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana.
