Brent Kennedy

Brent Kennedy is an experienced employment specialist currently facilitating the Pre-Employment Program at The Alex Community Health Centre since September 2021, focusing on skill building for marginalized populations in Calgary. Previously, Brent held roles as a course facilitator at Momentum Calgary, where online classes for employment and life skills were delivered, and as an employment skills training instructor at the Calgary Drop In & Rehab Centre Society, providing intensive training for low-income individuals. Additional experience includes instructing at the Calgary Immigrant Educational Society, offering employment and communication skills for youth, and supporting classroom and employment facilitation at YWCA Calgary, emphasizing soft skills training. Brent has also contributed to Indigenous education and curriculum design at Bow Valley College and worked as an admissions officer and career advisor at Columbia College. Brent holds a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from Trent University and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in the same field at the University of Guelph.
