Amanda Hiltz

Amanda Hiltz is an experienced social worker specializing in support services for LGBTQ youth. Currently serving as a Residential Youth Counselor at The Ali Forney Center since May 2014, Amanda collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to create a safe, affirming environment for homeless youth and facilitates educational groups on various topics, including transgender identity and financial literacy. Previous roles include Interim Community Outreach Coordinator at Adelphi University, where Amanda developed student outreach initiatives, and Youth and Justice Program Associate at Herstory Writers Workshop, focusing on memoir-writing and advocacy for incarcerated youth.
