Amy Medawar

Amy Medawar, CMP, DES serves as the Senior Director of Revenue and Visitor Experience at the American Institute of Architects (AIA), a role held since September 2011. In this position, Medawar is tasked with enhancing the visitor experience during AIA Headquarters' renewal project in Washington, DC, while overseeing operations and revenue generation for new meeting facilities, the AIA Bookstore, and gallery space. Previously, Medawar held various positions at AIA, including Director of Events, managing all national meeting and event scheduling and planning. Prior experience includes Director of Conference Services & Events at The Liaison Capitol Hill, where Medawar led a team in managing extensive group room nights and significant revenue in catering and dining services. Early career roles included Group Sales/Catering Coordinator, Catering Sales Manager, and Conference Services Manager at The Holiday Inn on The Hill. Medawar earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Management from Saint Vincent College in 2001.
