Gustavo Merckel

Gustavo Merckel is an experienced professional in educational technology and engineering with a strong focus on STEAM and Maker education. Currently serving as the MS Design Tank Coordinator at The American School Foundation since August 2022 and holding ongoing roles as a board member and Director of Programs at Jacaranda Education SC since December 2017, Gustavo is dedicated to quality programming and impactful project management. Previous experience includes consulting in STEAM education, teaching Design & Technology, and co-founding initiatives focused on Makerspace design and workshop development. Gustavo's engineering background encompasses roles in research and development, project management in renewable energies, and engineering design, supported by a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master's degree in Educational/Instructional Technology in progress.
