Tom Mihalenko

Tom Mihalenko has a diverse work experience in the field of IT security and infrastructure. Tom started their career at Nemours in 2005, where they worked as a Senior Workstation Administrator until 2009. Tom then transitioned to the role of Server Administrator until 2011, and later became a Security Analyst until 2012.

In 2012, Tom joined The Walt Disney Company as a Security & Compliance Analyst. Tom worked in this role until 2013 when they moved to Find My Weakness, where they served as a Principle IT & Security Consultant until 2018.

In 2013, Tom also started working at the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority as a Security Analyst until 2015. Tom then advanced to the role of Senior Security Systems Engineer and worked until 2019.

Since 2019, Tom has been with The AMES Companies, Inc., initially serving as a Manager for Enterprise Security & Network Systems. In 2021, they were promoted to the position of Director, IT Security & Infrastructure. In this role, they report directly to the Chief Information Officer and is responsible for delivering strategic and tactical IT leadership, overseeing the growth of security and infrastructure in global environments. Tom evaluates and prioritizes projects based on risk profile and drives business decisions with a focus on controls and compliance.

Tom Mihalenko began their education history by earning an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in General Studies from Seminole State College of Florida from 2009 to 2012. Tom then pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Information Technology Security from Western Governors University in 2013. Following this, Tom achieved a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in IT Management from Western Governors University between 2017 and 2018.
