Amos Bursary Progressive at The Amos Bursary

Iruka Okoye is a driven individual currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences in Global Sustainable Development at the University of Warwick. Iruka holds a progressive position at Amos Bursary, a digital community that supports ambitious young people. Previous experiences include participating in the Black Heritage Insight Event at UBS, working as a Selling Partner in the Ralph Lauren menswear department at John Lewis Partnership, and interning at Gallagher in Specialty Marine Art and Specie Insurance. Iruka was also a mentee at Zero Gravity, received the Jack Petchey Award, and served as an Ambassador for the Seven Kings School Social Action Project, promoting awareness of stereotypes in ethnic communities. Experience in customer service was developed while working as a Crew Member at McDonald's, and Iruka engaged in environmental leadership through the Centre for Sustainable Energy's Bright Green Future program. Iruka was awarded the Module Winner of the ACT Essay Prize through the Thinking Black program, which addresses critical issues facing the Black community. Educational background includes Seven Kings School & Sixth Form and St Bernard's High School.
