Matt Townsend

Matt Townsend is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in strategy, product development, and digital consulting. Currently serving as the Executive Strategy Director and the Executive Product Director at AKQA since March 2015, Matt is also a member of the judging panels for both The Anthem Awards and The Webby Awards. Previously, Matt co-founded and directed UNION / Digital, overseeing digital strategy and business growth. With a background that includes leadership roles at Designworks Ltd, the Marketing Association, and CyberElves, Matt has demonstrated expertise in digital innovation and marketing. An alumnus of the University of Otago and Auckland University of Technology, Matt holds degrees in Psychology and Public Relations.
