Junkai Xue

Junkai Xue is a Senior Staff Software Engineer at LinkedIn since June 2015, leading the cluster management team with a focus on products such as Apache Helix and LinkedIn Apache Zookeeper. With a strong background in distributed systems, Junkai has played a key role in the cloud-native migration of various LinkedIn projects, significantly scaling performance with innovative design implementations. Additionally, Junkai serves as the VP and PMC Chair for Apache Helix at The Apache Software Foundation and has contributed extensively to the project as a committer. Past experience includes roles at VMware and Teradata Aster, where Junkai was involved in developing features for cloud services and database technologies. Junkai holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science from Duke University and a Bachelor's degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Nanjing University of Technology.
