Catalina Santa Peña has a diverse work experience in the legal and business affairs field. Catalina is the CEO and founding partner of The Artist's Attorney since March 2011. Catalina also served as a Legal Advisor at Primo Media, Inc. (now VidaPrimo), Cinq Music Group, and Warner Chappell Music, starting in July 2019. Previously, they worked at Sony Music Entertainment from August 2015 to June 2019, holding positions as Associate Director of Legal & Business Affairs and Manager of Business & Legal Affairs for the Andes region. Prior to that, they were an Attorney specializing in Public Entertainment Law at the Ministry of Culture from February 2015 to July 2015. Catalina has also served as the International Director and Digital Rights Manager at SAYCO from October 2013 to February 2015. Catalina started their legal career as a Paralegal at Sony Music Entertainment in April 2011 and later became a Lawyer at the same company from May 2012 to September 2013. Catalina began their professional journey as an intern at the National Copyright Office from January 2011 to July 2011.

Catalina Santa Peña pursued their education in a chronological manner. From 2006 to 2012, they attended Universidad de Los Andes, where they obtained their Doctor of Law - JD degree. During their time at the university, they specialized in Opción en Literatura y Opción en Estudios Clasicos (latin). Later, from 2014 to 2015, Catalina enrolled at Berklee College of Music, completing their Master's degree in Artist Management.
