Kara Watkins

Kara Watkins serves as the Senior Program Manager for Inclusive Saving and Investing at The Aspen Institute since May 2022, having previously held the position of Program Manager in the same department. Prior to this role, Kara worked at the Bipartisan Policy Center from January 2019 to May 2022, where responsibilities included Senior Coalition Manager for both Funding Our Future and the American Savings Education Council, in addition to serving as Campaign Manager for Funding Our Future. Earlier experience at The Raben Group from February 2016 to January 2019 encompassed roles from Director of Programs for the American Latino Museum to Senior Associate and Associate. Kara's career began at the U.S. House of Representatives as a Staff Assistant from August 2015 to February 2016. Educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government & Latin American Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, along with completing the Programa de Estudios Argentinos y Latinoamericanos at Universidad de Belgrano.
