Sangeun Kim

SangEun Kim, PhD, is a seasoned research manager with experience at The Aspen Institute since March 2022, where multiple upcoming research reports and knowledge briefs have been authored based on international research in Africa, Latin America, and India. Prior experience includes roles as a graduate student research assistant at Vanderbilt University, contributing significantly to survey methodology and quality control for the Latin American Public Opinion Project, and as a graduate research and teaching assistant, where cross-country datasets on ethnicity and gender in political contexts were collected and analyzed. Earlier positions involved field research management at the Africa Future Foundation and research assistance at the Center for International Studies, with a focus on project management, data quality assurance, and academic support. SangEun Kim holds a PhD in Political Science from Vanderbilt University, complemented by a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Seoul National University.
