Neil Thompson is a distinguished violist with extensive experience in the Australian music scene. As the Managing Artistic Director and Co-Founder of The Nano Symphony since January 2015, Neil has played a pivotal role in establishing this innovative group, which is recognized as a vital player in the artistic landscape. Additionally, Neil serves as Principal Viola for the Omega Ensemble, contributing to its significant cultural impact in Australia. Freelance engagements with esteemed organizations such as Opera Australia, The Australian Ballet, and the Sydney Symphony Orchestra further highlight Neil's versatility and commitment to music. Neil's educational background includes advanced studies in performance at the Australian National Academy of Music and a Bachelor of Music with Honours from the Elder Conservatorium of Music, Adelaide.
