Alex Askew, CFRE has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations and roles. They started their career as an AmeriCorps Wilderness Crew Leader at Conservation Corps Minnesota and Iowa in 2012. They then became a Lead Peer Educator at St. Olaf College in 2013. In 2014, Alex joined Conservation Corps Minnesota and Iowa again as an Assistant Director for the Summer Youth Program. They later joined College Possible in 2014 as a Community Partnerships AmeriCorps Member. In 2015, they took on the role of National Expansion VISTA at College Possible. Alex then transitioned to Genesys Works in 2016, where they served as a Development Manager. They joined The Bakken Museum in 2018 as an Associate Director of Development. They progressed within the organization and served as the Director of Development from 2021 to 2023. Currently, Alex holds the position of Vice President of Philanthropy at The Bakken Museum.
Alex Askew, CFRE holds a Bachelor's degree in Sociology/Anthropology & Religion from St. Olaf College. They have also obtained the Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) certification from CFRE International in November 2019.
