Sean Yates

Sean Yates, FCIArb, is a barrister and arbitrator currently affiliated with Outer Temple Chambers since October 2022, and holds multiple arbitrator positions, including roles at the Russian Arbitration Center, Abu Dhabi Global Market, Saudi Center for Commercial Arbitration, and BVI International Arbitration Centre. Yates is also a member of the Dubai International Arbitration Centre and serves on the CIArb UAE Branch Committee. With a longstanding career at the Bar Council of England and Wales, Yates previously held the position of General Counsel at CSCEC Middle East and Group General Counsel at Ilyas & Mustafa Galadari Group, overseeing a diverse legal portfolio for a prominent family business in Dubai. Yates holds an MA in English Language and Literature from the University of Oxford and is a PhD in Law candidate at the University of Birmingham, with additional qualifications in international commercial law and commercial law from Northumbria University.
