Timmy Shen is an experienced journalist currently serving as the Asia Editor at The Block since July 2023. Prior to this role, Timmy spent two years as an Asia Reporter and Staff Writer at Forkast.News, focusing on crypto and Web 3.0 in Asia, as well as emerging technologies. Timmy's career includes reporting at Caixin Global, where excellence in coverage earned the title "Reporter of the Year 2019." Timmy has also worked as a Multimedia Producer at 南華早報 and TechNode.com, creating impactful content on Chinese internet culture and the tech scene. Early career experiences include freelance video production for NowThis and an editorial internship at SupChina. Timmy holds a Master's degree from Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism and a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from National Chengchi University.
