Edward Hurtig

Edward Hurtig has extensive work experience as a software engineer and project lead. Edward is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at The Boring Company since November 2021. Prior to that, they were a Software Engineer at Apple from August 2018 to November 2021, where they specialized in Core Darwin. Edward also worked at Paradigm Hyperloop as the Controls & Software Lead, Project Co-Lead from September 2016 to May 2018. Edward has previous experience at Apple as a Core OS Software Engineering Co-Op from January 2017 to August 2017, and again from January 2016 to August 2016. Edward served as the Software and Controls Systems Lead at OpenLoop from September 2015 to February 2017 and as a DevOps Engineer at EverTrue from January 2015 to December 2015. Edward also has experience as a Web Developer at the Town of Sudbury from July 2012 to December 2015, where they were responsible for web development, server administration, network management, and project planning. Additionally, they founded Hurtig Technologies and served as the Founder from March 2011 to June 2015. Edward's other roles include working as the Lead Developer & Project Manager at Northeastern University College of Computer and Information Science's Experimental Systems Group from April 2014 to March 2015, where they contributed to rebuilding the dormant "Crew" organization and worked on various projects such as the DDS Project and Crew Open Cloud.

Edward Hurtig attended Lincoln Sudbury Regional High School from 2009 to 2013. Following their high school education, they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science at Northeastern University, from 2013 to 2018.
