Abiola Rasaq has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the field of quality assurance and software testing. They have served as the Founder and Chief Testing Officer of The Bug Detective since 2021. In 2022, Abiola worked as a Quality Assurance Team Lead at Yep!, where they collaborated with vendors and clients to plan and execute testing strategies. They monitored bug resolutions and worked closely with developers on complex issues.
Prior to this, Abiola worked at E-Settlement Limited from 2019 to 2023, starting as a Customer Tech Support representative before progressing to roles such as Software Quality Assurance Engineer and Technical Team Lead. In these positions, they conducted tests, released updates, and built automated testing scripts. Abiola also carried out post-live checks and participated in risk and compliance checks and quality audits.
Abiola briefly served as a Product and Quality Lead at Poll Manager in 2023. They also gained experience as a Junior Software Tester at First City Monument Bank Limited from 2018 to 2019, where they executed test cases, reported defects, and performed manual testing of mobile and web applications.
In 2017, Abiola held the role of President of the General Assembly at Nigeria Model United Nations and worked as a Junior Software Tester and User Interface Test Intern at Purplepro Creative Agency.
Abiola Rasaq has a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and International Studies from Lagos State University. They have also obtained additional certifications in Leadership Development Program, Agile Scrum Master, Appium Automation with Parallel Execution (Testing Bootcamp), Test Automation using Addons, and Web and Mobile Test Automation development with OpenSDK.
