Mike began their career at United Parcel Service (UPS) in 1995, starting as a marketing intern and eventually being promoted four times to the position of Sr. Account Manager. During their time at UPS, they achieved notable accomplishments such as winning the UPS Golden Eagle Award, managing a 14-person sales team, and securing a new $1 million UPS Air Account.

In 2000, Gockel joined Marathon Industries, Inc as VP Sales and played a pivotal role in building the company from scratch. Mike was involved in various aspects of the business, including sales and marketing, manufacturing, sourcing, logistics, human resources, and accounting. Gockel dedicated 15 years to the growth and success of Marathon Industries, giving him a strong foundation in the tire and wheel manufacturing industry.

More recently, in 2015, Gockel took on the role of VP Sales of Marastar, LLC at The Carlstar Group. This acquisition saw Marastar, formerly known as Marathon Industries, become part of a leading global manufacturer of OEM and specialty aftermarket tires and wheels. In their role, Gockel integrated and trained the Carlstar sales team on Marathon products and successfully introduced Salesforce as a sales tool.
