Camille Simone Thomas

Camille Simone Thomas is an experienced Teaching Artist actively working with organizations such as The Center for Arts Education, Apollo Theater, Manhattan Theatre Club, and DreamYard Project since 2021. Camille specializes in creating and implementing age-appropriate lesson plans in theatre, poetry, and playwriting for students K-12, and also collaborates with educators and social workers to develop social-emotional learning initiatives. Prior experiences include serving as a Project Associate at Manhattan Theatre Club, where Camille contributed to crafting an original Off-Broadway show for court-involved youth, and as an Assistant in the Office of Multicultural Student Engagement at Wayne State University, focusing on diversity and equity training. Camille has also worked with the Broadway Advocacy Coalition on art for prison abolition and has held various positions in education and communications. Academic background includes a degree from Michigan State University, earned between 2014 and 2018.
