Paula Christel Mercado

Paula Christel Mercado is a Physician Assistant Certified with extensive experience in various healthcare settings. Currently employed at OrthoMaryland since July 2019, Paula has previously worked at Greater Maryland Pain Management and the University of Maryland Medical Center, gaining expertise in general internal medicine and pain management. Additionally, Paula's training includes clinical rotations at Johns Hopkins Hospital and Sanchez Pediatrics, focusing on psychiatric care and pediatrics, as well as OB/GYN and general surgery. Paula's academic background includes a Master of Science in Health Services and a Master of Science in Physician Assistant from the University of Maryland, complemented by prior degrees in Biomedical Sciences and Biology. As a research technologist at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Paula conducted phlebotomy and processed biological samples for various research studies.
