Sima Ghaddar

Sima Ghaddar is a PhD candidate and teaching assistant at the University of California, Los Angeles, since September 2018. Concurrently, Sima serves as a policy associate at The Century Foundation since February 2016. Previous experience includes roles as an instructor at the American University of Beirut in early 2016, a social worker at MOSAIC MENA Organization, and a research assistant at the Issam Fares Institute for Policy Studies and International Affairs. Notable internships include work with Human Rights Watch, focusing on the Syrian crisis, and a research assistantship at the Issam Fares Institute for Public Policy. Sima holds a Master’s Degree in Political Sociology from the London School of Economics and a Bachelor’s in Political Science from the American University of Beirut, complemented by an exchange program at the American University of Washington.
