Mike Mayhew

Mike Mayhew joined Champion in 2021, as Vice President of Investments. Mike brings to the firm more than 15 years of experience as a successful real estate entrepreneur.

Before building his extensive local real estate portfolio, Mike started his career as a professional strength and conditioning trainer. He soon developed and then managed his own commercial real estate space to open a fitness facility in Westerville, Ohio, which is still open today.

Over the next 15 years Mike amassed an impressive local real estate portfolio; investing in, remodeling, and selling numerous single family homes, multifamily properties, and commercial properties.

He uses the expertise he developed through his business ventures to assist Champion’s Deal Team in underwriting and evaluating prospective multifamily acquisitions, as well as assisting in the closing of all dispositions and refinances. Mike is also responsible for sourcing new and managing existing equity investor relationships.

Mike graduated from Miami University of Ohio’s Farmer School of Business, with a dual degree in Exercise Science. He remains passionate about health and fitness and still carries a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification.
