Phillip Wong

Phillip Wong has a diverse and extensive work experience in the technology field. Phillip most recently served as the Head of Technology at The Children's Society since March 2022. Prior to this, they were the Head of Technology (EML Cover) at UNICEF UK from May 2021 to March 2022.

Before their roles in the non-profit sector, Phillip held various positions at Group GTI from 2008 to 2021, including Group IT Operations Manager and Group IT Infrastructure Manager. Phillip also gained experience at GTI Media, where they worked as an IT Manager from 2003 to 2008 and as an IT Support Engineer from 2002 to 2003.

Phillip'searlier work experience includes a role as an IT Manager at Winstone Aggregates from 1998 to 2002. Through their extensive work history, Phillip has developed a strong background in IT management and support.

Phillip Wong has a diverse education background. Phillip began their studies in 1989 at The University of Auckland, where they earned a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree with a focus on Accounting and Corporate Finance in the years 1989 to 1991. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree specializing in Commercial Law and Taxation from 1992 to 1994. Phillip continued their education at the same institution and obtained a Master of Taxation degree with a concentration in Tax Law/Taxation in 1995.

Later on, from 1998 to 2001, Phillip completed a Graduate Diploma of Management program at The University of Auckland. During this program, they gained comprehensive knowledge in Project Management, E-commerce, Management Information Systems, and Services. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications that enhance their qualifications. These certifications include being recognized as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand by the New Zealand Law Society, as well as being a GDPR Practitioner certified by QA Ltd. Phillip has also received training in Prince2 - Practitioner from APM Group.
