Brian Hartman

Director, Strategy at The Chronicle of Higher Education

Brian Hartman has a diverse work experience history, starting from working as a Research Assistant at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in 1996. Brian then went on to hold various roles in different companies, such as Senior Analyst at the Corporate Executive Board from 1997 to 2001, Consultant at Fannie Mae from 2003 to 2004, Business Development Director at Echo & Co. in 2005, and Strategic Research Director at the Corporate Executive Board from 2005 to 2008. From 2009 to 2011, they worked as a Strategic Advisor & Coach at Hartman Advisory, and from 2011 to 2013, they served as a Marketing Director at the Mortgage Bankers Association. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Strategy at The Chronicle of Higher Education since 2013.

Brian Hartman has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business, obtained in 2003. Brian also holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Philosophy from William & Mary, completed in 1996.
