Jarod J. Towers

Jarod J. Towers is a seasoned law enforcement professional with extensive experience in police leadership and operations. Currently serving as the Chief of Police for the City of Hyattsville, Maryland since October 2021, Towers previously held the role of Chief of Police at the Cheverly Police Department from September 2009 to October 2021, where additional roles included Acting Chief and Sergeant. Prior law enforcement experience includes serving as a State Trooper with the Maryland State Police and various positions with the United States Marine Corps, reaching the rank of Infantryman. Towers holds two Master of Business Administration degrees from the University of Maryland Global Campus, completed in 2014, and has furthered professional development through training at the Senior Management Institute for Police in 2021.
