Ezhilan started their career at United Arab Bank as an Assistant IT Manager/Senior Systems Administrator, where they managed a team and implemented Windows NT 4.0 across multiple branches.
Ezhilan then joined HTC Global Services Inc. as a Security Consultant, conducting assessments of business risks, regulatory compliance, and performing security scans and vulnerability assessments.
After that, they worked at NCCI Holdings, Inc. as a Senior IT Auditor, where they conducted internal audits, identified control deficiencies, and communicated audit findings in well-written reports.
Ezhilan later joined Lowe's Home Improvement as a Senior IT Audit Consultant, leading and managing SOX-General Computer Controls testing, participating in annual risk assessments, and conducting infrastructure audits.
Their most recent role is at The Clearing House, where they have held various positions including Information Security Risk Specialist, Manager of Information Security Risk, and currently serves as the Director of Information Security.

Ezhilan Maruthavanan holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science & Engineering from the Coimbatore Institute of Technology. Prior to this, they attended Don Bosco School in Madras, India, where they studied Computer Science. In addition to their formal education, Ezhilan has obtained several certifications in the field of information technology. These include an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in December 2020, a Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge v4 from the Cloud Security Alliance in October 2020, a CRISC certification from ISACA in December 2015, a CISM certification from ISACA in June 2008, and a CISA certification from ISACA in December 2005.
