Angeles Casas, PhD, is a Data Science Manager at The Climate Corporation, leading a team focused on the application of AI in Earth Observation to drive agronomic insights and sustainable agricultural practices. With a strong background in remote sensing and environmental data, Angeles has held various positions including Science Lead for Environmental Data Insights, where strategic and technical direction was provided for machine learning development, and Senior Remote Sensing Data Scientist, developing predictive models for precision agriculture. Prior to this, Angeles served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of California, Davis, specializing in environmental modeling using airborne LiDAR and satellite imagery, and examining the ecological impact of climate change. With a foundational education in Geographic Engineering and Geodesy from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and Universidad de Jaén, Angeles brings robust expertise to the intersection of data science and environmental conservation.
