Zach Hansen is a Data Science Manager for the Weather Science Team at Bayer, a position held since February 2020, following progressive roles as Senior Data Engineer, Data Engineer, and Weather Data Specialist within the same team. Prior to Bayer, Zach served as a Research Scientist in the aerosol, clouds, and climate modeling group at Nanjing University, focusing on deep convection over East Asia using high resolution model simulations and geostationary satellite data. In 2017, Zach contributed as an Associate Instructor for Computational Methods in the Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Academic credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy in Atmospheric Sciences and Meteorology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelor of Science in Atmospheric Sciences and Meteorology from the University of Utah.
