Latoya McDowald-Hurley

Latoya McDowald-Hurley is a seasoned legal professional currently serving as a Legal Officer at The Commonwealth since August 2023, where legal support is provided for initiatives aimed at enhancing rule of law and justice frameworks in Commonwealth member countries. Prior experience includes serving as Senior Legal Advisor for the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office from January 2020 to August 2023, focusing on criminal justice reform in the Caribbean. Latoya also served as Judicial Counsel at the Caribbean Court of Justice from September 2016 to August 2019, offering legal research and advice to judges and assisting in policy development.
