JOHN HAMBY

John Hamby's work experience spans over several decades. JOHN began their career in the US Navy as a Lieutenant from September 1961 to August 1965. After their military service, they joined Connecticut National Bank as a VP and Manager of Corporate Cash Management & Correspondent Banking from 1965 to 1977. During this time, they led the division to national prominence in payments products and became the largest non-Federal Reserve City correspondent bank in terms of deposit balances.

Following their role at Connecticut National Bank, Hamby joined Glastonbury Bank & Trust Company as President from 1977 to 1994. JOHN successfully transformed the quiet community bank into an enterprising and thriving institution. JOHN introduced several payment product enhancements, developed a new automated "Working Trust," and implemented lending innovations and insurance sales empowerment.

In 1997, Hamby joined NewAlliance Bank as SVP & Manager of the Merchant Services Center. JOHN continued to demonstrate their expertise in payment products and merchant services until 2009.

After leaving NewAlliance Bank, Hamby established Advanced BusinessBanking Solutions LLC in 2009. As President & Managing Member, they aimed to build a nationally attractive "Full Value Checking" program and obtained an initial level US patent. Unfortunately, the project was curtailed due to the recession and major legislative changes, leading to the company's closure in 2016.

Finally, in 2016, Hamby joined The Computer Company, Inc. as the Business Development Director. JOHN joined the 20-year-old IT enterprise during its emergence from a disappointing recessionary period. JOHN'smain task has been to develop a path to growth, improved profitability, and overall success in a period of vast technological improvement, challenges, and opportunities. The company is currently undergoing a transition.

John Hamby's education history includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Columbia College, Columbia University.
