Sam Calhoun

Sam Calhoun is currently a Staff Writer at The Daily Campus, covering top 25 college basketball and serving as the beat writer for UConn softball in Spring 2023. Additionally, Sam holds the position of Sports Commentator at WHUS Radio, where coverage includes football and basketball games. Experience includes work as a Campus Correspondent, reporting on northeast college football and UConn women's ice hockey. Sam has also been involved with University of Connecticut Student Television, focusing on reporting, filming, and editing. An internship at FOX61/CW20 involved covering sports and interviewing players for the Hartford Wolf Pack. Sam is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism at the University of Connecticut, expected to graduate in May 2026, after graduating from Wellesley High School in June 2022.
