Leslie Plaza Johnson

Leslie Plaza Johnson is an experienced photography instructor currently teaching at the University of Houston-Downtown and the University of Houston-Clear Lake, where diverse courses, including digital photography and visual anthropology, have been developed. Since 2000, Leslie has maintained a long-term instructional role at the University of Houston-Clear Lake while also teaching fundamentals of photography at San Jacinto College South Campus since 2020. In addition to a robust teaching portfolio, Leslie engages in various freelance photography roles, covering sports events for outlets like Icon Sportswire, the Houston Chronicle, and The Galveston County Daily News. With a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Rice University and multiple degrees from the University of Houston-Clear Lake, Leslie combines artistic expertise with extensive practical experience in the field.
