Chiara Kim

Chiara Kim is a talented journalism student at Northwestern University, currently serving as a reporter for The Daily Northwestern, where 19 articles have been reported, written, and edited, along with the production of a podcast. As an assistant opinion editor, development and recruitment editor, and assistant social media editor, Chiara has honed skills in writing, editing, training new staff, and managing social media content. In addition to journalism, Chiara is a dedicated athlete and rower with Northwestern Crew Club, achieving notable successes including 3rd place at ACRA and being a state champion in the Women's Novice 8+ category. Prior experience includes internships at Sorenson Impact and Alliance for a Better Utah, and co-founding Teens Impact. Chiara's commitment to community engagement and creative expression is further demonstrated through leadership roles in various organizations, including founding a peer editing club and serving as a councilmember and choreographer for a dance company. Chiara is expected to graduate in June 2025 with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism.
