Joyce Li has a diverse work experience in various communication and writing roles. Joyce started their journey in 2020 as the Head Writing Advisor at The Global Diplomat, where they provided guidance and expertise in writing. In 2021, they worked as a Staff Writer at Washington Square News, contributing to their publication. In 2022, they joined The Daily Northwestern as a Reporter and Copy Editor, later becoming the Copy Chief. Currently, in 2023, they are a Communications Intern at the Illinois Asian American Caucus. Joyce's experience showcases their skills in writing, editing, and communication.

Joyce Li's education history includes several notable institutions and programs. Joyce attended Northwestern University from 2022 to 2025, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Journalism and Legal Studies. Prior to that, from 2021 to 2022, Joyce studied at New York University and earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Journalism. Before entering higher education, they completed their high school education at Havergal College with a High School Diploma from 2015 to 2021. Additionally, Joyce participated in various enrichment programs, such as a summer program in Advanced Fiction Writing at Columbia University in 2020 and the interdisciplinary academic enrichment program, Yale Young Global Scholars, in the same year. In terms of their musical interests, from 2014 to 2019, they pursued Classical Piano at The Royal Conservatory of Music.
